The Elizabethtown Rotary Club wanted to make the annual 8K Trail Run & Walk even bigger this year. In January, the club decided to reschedule the event from Saturday, April 8th, 2017 to Veterans Day, November 11th, 2017 to make the event even bigger and create the opportunity to celebrate our military veterans more.
“Currently, the club is planning to add a Duathlon and a 1-mile fun walk to the 8K Trail Run & Walk to expand the event,” Charlotte Smith, President of the Elizabethtown Rotary Club said.
The event will re-named the Elizabethtown Rotary Challenge to benefit the USO of NC to include the 8K Trail Run & Walk, Duathlon, and 1 mile fun run/walk. The event will still start at 8:30 a.m. at Brown’s Creek Nature and Bike Trail, located at 1910 East Broad Street in Elizabethtown, NC.
