ELIZABETHTOWN, NC – The NC Cooperative Extension-Bladen County Center invites local poultry enthusiasts to attend the Small Flock Chicken Workshop on Thursday, December 5, 2024, at 6:30 pm. This educational event will take place at the Extension office located at 450 Smith Circle, Elizabethtown, NC 28337.
The workshop will cover vital topics for chicken keepers, including:
• Predator Control for Chickens:
• “What got my chicken?”
• Tips for better predator-proofing.
• Chicken Necropsy:
• A hands-on exploration of chicken organs and their normal appearance.
• Discussions on diseases affecting layers and broilers.
This is an excellent opportunity for small flock owners to gain valuable knowledge and practical skills for maintaining a healthy and safe environment for their birds.
