Washington, D.C. — Congressman Rouzer released the statement below following passage of the Pain-Capable Unborn Child Protection Act, which restricts abortions after the 20-week mark:
“Advancements in medical technology prove that at 20 weeks old, the unborn can feel pain. It is our moral obligation to fight for and protect the lives of those who cannot speak for themselves – the lives of those who are no different than our own. I’m proud to stand with my colleagues in the House of Representatives to pass this vital bill to protect the most vulnerable among us.”
