Great news on the Resilient Bladen front! They’re making excellent progress on an informative resource highlighting the key initiatives and impact in the community. They’ve successfully recorded 2 episodes of the Resilient Bladen’s Nurturing Resilience Toolkit podcast! The podcast can be found on the Resilient Bladen YouTube Channel.

Resilient Bladen participated at the Bladen Community College Touch a Truck & Bladen Smart Start Family Spring Fling Event on April 12th. Resilient Bladen also participated in the Bladen Community College Health Fair on April 17th. A huge thanks to BCC for partnering with Bladen Smart Start for these events.

We participated in the Men and Women United (MWUYF) & MDC/LENS-NC 2nd Annual Partner Meeting that took place on April 10, 2025. This gathering introduced MDC/LENS-NC to other agencies in our SE NC region and the technical support they provide to youth-serving organizations, that work with youth who have IEPs or 504 Plans, are academically challenged, or experience social & racial discrimination in the school systems.

We look forward to seeing you at our next meeting on May 19th, 2025, at 11:00 am. Please note that this is a change from our usual schedule due to the Memorial Day holiday on May 26th. A meeting link and agenda will be shared in May.
