This first Bladen County Agency Information and Resource Fair, held Saturday, January 17th at the National Guard Armory, was greatly needed and well received. Ann Garrett with the North Carolina Works Career Center of Bladen County was aware of the need to help get resources and information out to the public and organized a plan. Garrett said, “There are a lot of people with a lot of questions on where to find resources in Bladen County.”  The fair helped to educate the community about the different resources and agencies available in Bladen County.

Zelea Smith helped register community members attending the fair.  Smith said, “We had a good turn out today. We had over 50 people seeking information and resources.” There were around 30 different representatives there to help answer questions about healthcare to job training information.
