Many parents and students are reporting feeling overwhelmed with the new learning model in Bladen County. Bladen County Schools announced the district would be transitioning to a new model for instructional delivery starting today, Thursday, March 19. The new model is at-home learning. 

The following are resources to help prevent stress and cultivate innovative at-home learning during the COVID-19 outbreak. 

Creating a daily schedule that includes lots of different activities throughout the day in a predictable way, children is helpful, according to professionals. We found an example of a daily schedule. It is published below.

Hiptosave.com offers an article reporting free online learning programs for students in grades K-9. The site states, “For a limited time, head on over to Scholastic.com to access the FREE Learn at Home hub – a virtual education program that was designed to support children during these temporary school closures due to Coronavirus concerns.”

Pobble has released a flyer of 25 fun activities for students to do at home. The suggestions offer alternative ideas for things to do without a screen. View the ideas below.
