The Restorative Justice Collaborative at UNCW is offering training opportunities beginning March 30. Each workshop is unique and provides a deep dive into the skills that support restorative practices.
Participants can use this time for professional development and leadership training in their workplaces and communities.
Topics are:
- March 30: Restorative Justice (Introduction of Ideas and Practices)
- April 13: Restorative Justice in Schools (Opportunities and Challenges)
- April 27: Trauma Awareness and Resilience Part 1 (Connecting to Restorative Justice)
- May 11: Trauma Awareness and Resilience Part 2 (Post-Traumatic Growth and Repair)
- May 25: Restorative Justice and Racial Justice (Addressing Historical Trauma)
Each session will be held from 1-5 p.m. at Truist Hall at UNCW.
Space is limited to 20 people. The registration fee is $30 per person/per session and covers supplies, catering, and books. Participants should bring notebooks. Participants will receive a Certificate of Completion following the training.
