The band Rivermist is set to rock the stage for the next installment fo the Summer Sounds concert series at the Cape Fear Farmer’s Market Thursday from 6 until 9 p.m. The concert series is presented by the Elizabethtown-White Lake Area Chamber of Commerce, Cape Fear Valley-Bladen Healthcare, and platinum, gold, silver and bronze sponsors.

Admission to the concert is free and food and drinks are available for purchase from silver sponsors Cape Fear Chicken and Barbecue and Lu Mil Vineyard. Lu Mil Vineyard will be offering Muscadine wine and Muscadine slushies; and Sunset Slush of Bladen County will also be on hand offering tasty frozen treats.

You can also purchase Summer Sounds concert series T-Shirts for $10. They can be found at the Cape Fear Valley-Bladen Healthcare tent. Don’t forget to check out the vendors as well.

Rivermist is from Fayetteville and touts itself as a classic rock band. The band has its roots in another band called Fahrenheit. They took the stage in Bladen County earlier this summer when they played during the White Lake Water Festival. The band performs covers of such songs as the Doobie Brothers “Listen to the Music.”

The group is made up of Greg Adair who plays drums and sings backing vocals; Kenny Huffman who sings lead and backing vocals and plays rhythm guitar; Doug Bass who sings lead and backing vocals and plays keyboard; James “Junior” Smith who plays guitar and sings backing vocals; Cliff Bender who plays lead guitar; and Tony Harrison who plays bass guitar.

Bring your friends and family and a lawn chair and enjoy an evening of fun entertainment at the Cape Fear Farmer’s Market located at 106 Martin Luther King Drive in Elizabethtown.
