The following is an updated listing of road closures for Bladen County as it appears in the North Carolina Department of Transportation.
CLOSED:
*NC242 – Road closed with a detour to replace crossline.
Starting April 4, 2022 8:00 a.m. – April 8, 2022 5:00 pm road will be closed with a detour.
The detour will be NC242 to SR1324 (Dowd Dairy Road) to NC53 to SR1325 (Gum Springs Road).
US Highway 701N
Both lanes of the North Bound US Highway 701 over the Cape Fear River is closed. Traffic will be rerouted to the Southbound lanes. The closure has a WIDE LOAD TRAFFIC RESTRICTION.
ELWELL FERRY
Elwell Ferry is closed.
