Both lanes of the North bound US Highway 701 bridge over the Cape Fear River are closed. Traffic will be rerouted to the Southbound lanes, according to North Carolina Department of Transportation. The closure has a WIDE LOAD TRAFFIC RESTRICTION.

NC53 Near Cumberland County Line will be closed for cross-line replacements.
The detour will be: River Road (SR1318) to Tabor church Road (SR 2023) in Cumberland County
Then to Johnson Road (SR 2228) in Cumberland County taking you to NC53 in Cumberland County.
