An update of road opening / closing

NC 210 – Opening
The first of four crosslines on NC 210 was completed Tuesday. The location is patched with stone (not pavement), so while we are leaving the detour in place for through traffic, it is passable for local traffic / emergency services.
NC 210 – Closing
Beginning Wednesday morning at 8:00 a.m. we plan to close NC 210 at a location 0.2 miles northwest of the northern end of George Long Road. This closure will be in effect for several days as we address two large pipe under this closure. A signed detour remains in effect to use NC 41 and US 701.
NC 131/242/410 (Main Street) in Bladenboro Closed
In order to complete the final layers of paving and make all side street tie-ins, we have re-closed the entirety of Main Street from south of Kelly Street to the railroad tracks (this includes the section of NC 242/410 in front of the middle school that was temporarily opened for this past weekend’s events). Keep your fingers crossed that the project paving will be completely finished by this weekend (at which time the road will be opened assuming completion).
