The North Carolina Department of Transportation has opened Sarah Peterson Road to traffic and said that no further road closings are planned at this time.
ELWELL FERRY:
Elwell Ferry is not operating due to high water. The level is hanging about one-half foot too high for operation and is not forecast to fall until later next week.
ROAD OIL OPERATIONS:
NC DOT does advise motorists that road oil operations have started in the East Arcadia area and will move into the Carver’s Creek area next week. NC DOT urges motorists in the area to use caution and reduce speed when driving on newly treated roads.
