UPDATE 1: Bladen County Assistant Coroner Kenneth Clark reported a man was killed in a crash on Tar Heel Road earlier on Wednesday afternoon. The crash remains under investigation and no further details are available at this time. BladenOnline.com will bring you more details as we have them.

Tar Heel Road is closed from Chickenfoot Road to the Robeson County line due to a crash and woods fire, according to emergency officials. Bladen County Emergency Services, Tar Heel, Dublin and Tobermory Fire Departments, Bladen County Sheriff officers and North Carolina Highway Patrol officers are all on the scene.

The road is expected to remain closed for several hours.
