Spread the love

By Cara Beth Lewis

Robert Evers says that his love for music began in the Bladenboro Middle School Band as a trumpet player, and the love grew when he began playing the guitar and singing country music as a teenager. In his adult years, Evers founded Cape Fear River Band.

The Cape Fear River Band plays all around the beach and surrounding counties. The local band plays southern rock and beach music. Evers stated, “We are looking for big things in 2022.”

In addition to Cape Fear River Band, Evers is also a member of the Pink Slips band, a beach music group based out of Whiteville. The Pink Slips will perform in North Myrtle Beach at Hoto’s Beach Bar from 12 pm until 2 pm on Saturday, in celebration of the Carolina Beach Music Awards. Speaking of Carolina Beach Music Awards… the Pink Slips have been nominated for “Rising Star of the Year.”

Finally, Evers said, “I just love live music, and I am a big supporter of local live music!”
