The Elizabethtown Rotary Club has a guest speaker every week to educate club members about different industries and services offered in and around the area. The week, Rotarian Ginger Tatum, explained the Real Estate and Estate Sales industry to the club.
Ginger is one of the newest members of the club. She explained she and her husband, Joe, have two local companies in addition to the same type of businesses in Florida.
Tatum Realty & Property Management Services and Tatum Estate Sales and Liquidation Services are the two local companies Ginger and her husband have here in Bladen County.
The real estate industry is a lot better than it was in 2008 according to Ginger. In reference to the industry, Ginger said, “It’s hot right now.”
Houses are selling and business is going well here in Bladen County and in Florida according to Ginger.
The difference between Estate Sales and auctions was explained along with some other information about the real estate industry.
Ginger explained she married her high school sweet heart, Joe, and moved to Florida. The couple, along with their two children, Brandon and Jenna, moved back to Ginger’s childhood area, Lisbon, NC, a few years back.

The club also discussed the plan on selling popcorn and baked goods at the first Farm Fresh Friday, on Friday, April 28th from 11 am until 7 pm. The club plans of the War War II Honor Luncheon and the golf tournament is continuing as well.
