Outlook Period: Friday 5/9/25 through Sunday 5/11/25
OVERVIEW:
A cold front will sweep through Friday night, with isolated to perhaps scattered showers and thunderstorms during the afternoon and evening ahead of it. The front will stall south of the area on Saturday with low pressure along the Gulf Coast bringing an increase in rain chances from south to north over the weekend.
Hazards and Impacts
Land: Marginal Risk (Level 1 of 5) for severe storms (isolated damaging wind gust and large hail) on Friday for southeast NC and northeast SC.
Beaches: Moderate risk of rip currents for beaches north of Cape Fear through this weekend
