A front will be moving north of the area late Tuesday. A cold front will quickly move across the Carolinas on Wednesday, and high pressure will dominate the area Thursday through the weekend with cooler temperatures expected.
Hazards and Impacts
Land:
● There is a marginal risk of severe thunderstorms (threat level 1 out of 5) Tuesday and Wednesday, with the main threats being damaging winds and large hail (SPC).
Surf Zone:
● Moderate risk of rip currents for south-facing beaches Wednesday and Thursday (SRF).
Rivers:
● Minor flooding continues for the Lumber River near Lumberton through midweek (NWPS)
