Outlook Period: Wednesday 4/9/25 through Sunday 4/13/25
Cool and dry weather will continue through Thursday as high pressure shifts overhead and offshore. An approaching frontal system will bring our next chance for rain and thunderstorms from Thursday night through Friday, with isolated severe weather possible. Cool and dry weather returns behind a cold front for the weekend.
Marginal risk (threat level 1 out of 5) for isolated severe storms with damaging wind gusts and large hail on Friday.
A Small Craft Advisory is in effect through 6pm Wednesday for the coastal waters east of Cape Fear, mainly for seas up to 6ft.
Beach Hazards Statement for strong north to south longshore current in effect for all beaches, except the Brunswick County beaches through Wednesday.
