Outlook Period: Friday 4/11/25 through Sunday 4/13/25

Overview: Cold front is moving offshore Friday morning, but an upper-level disturbance will produce scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms Friday afternoon and evening. Stronger storms could produce some small hail or gusty winds. Cooler and drier high pressure moves in for the rest of the weekend.

Inland: Marginal risk (threat level 1 out of 5) for isolated severe storms with damaging wind gusts and hail on Friday.

Coastal hazards: Moderate rip risk along New Hanover and Pender County beaches Friday. Low rip risk for the remainder of the weekend.
