OVERVIEW:
High pressure will pass to the north Monday before sliding offshore on Tuesday and settling between the Carolinas and Bermuda through the remainder of the week. Above normal temperatures begin Tuesday and persist through Friday. Shower and thunderstorm chances return for Friday ahead of the next cold front.
Hazards and Impacts:
Coastal Flooding: Minor coastal flooding expected along NE South Carolina Monday night (high tide: 8:48PM), and will be near minor flooding along SE NC coastline. Minor coastal flooding likely along Lower Cape Fear at Downtown Wilmington Monday night (11PM) and possibly Tuesday night.
Beaches: Moderate rip current risk at New Hanover, Pender, and Georgetown County beaches Monday. Elevated rip risk forecasted for Horry and Brunswick County beaches Friday.
