To All Elected Officials and Emergency Personnel in the 7th Congressional District:
I am hosting two roundtables next week to discuss the needs of each county in the district as a result of the damage inflicted by Hurricane Matthew. I will also share an overview of what was included in the federal disaster packages for Hurricane Floyd in 1999 and other hurricanes that have hit the country since that time as a point of reference for discussion and strategy moving forward.
The first roundtable will take place on Wednesday, October 19, at the Leland Town Council Chambers on 102 Town Hall Drive in Leland at 10 a.m.
The second roundtable will take place on Thursday, October 20, at the Sampson County Office Complex – Board of Education Building Auditorium on 437 Rowan Road in Clinton at 2 p.m.
I hope you can attend one of these two Hurricane Matthew Roundtable Discussions. Your input and knowledge is vital to helping ensure that the short term and long term needs of our communities are addressed as much as possible.
