The amusement may be limited for this Halloween, but that is not keep everyone from planning a sweet treat for young ones. Two events in Bladen County have been announced, offering safe activities.

First, the Bladen County Public Library located in Elizabethtown will offer a Candy Walk on Thursday, October 22, 2020. The event will begin at 6:00 p.m. and will continue while supplies last. The library is located at 111 N Cypress Street.

Next, Dublin First Baptist Church will host a Harvest Hunt Magic Tricks & Treats on Saturday, October 31, 2020. Youth Pastor Daniel Hensely will lead the evening outdoor events. Daryl Strickland will provide entertainment with a magic show, and children have a chance to win prizes. There will be a treat hunt for children ages birth to 12 years of age before the night ends.

The fun will begin at 5 p.m. in the back lot of Dublin First Baptist Church located on Albert Street in Dublin. The event is scheduled to end at 7 p.m.

The practice of social distancing and wearing a face covering to limit the spread of COVID-19 is required for both events. Both events are open to the public.

Any announcements about Halloween activities may be sent to gm@bladenonline.com for publication.
