Elizabethtown native Sayaun Dent racked up 51 points in a pair of Sandhills Community College victories last week as the Flyers improved to 6-0 on the season.

Wednesday night Dent posted a new career-high of 29 points as Sandhills defeated Guilford Tech 105-91. The West Bladen grad connected on 10 of 15 shots from the floor and all 9 free throws to run his consecutive free throws made streak to 35 in a row. He also grabbed 5 rebounds.

Dent threw in 22 points Saturday in a 93-73 win over Patrick Henry and sank 10 of 12 foul shots for the Flyers who are currently ranked No. 2 nationally. The 6-3 sophmore is averaging 23.3 points, 8 rebounds and 3 assists per game.

Sandhills will host Mt. Zion Tuesday night.
