PINEHURST – West Bladen grad Sayaun Dent posted a pair of double-doubles this week as his No. 1 ranked Sandhills Community College Flyers improved to 11-0 on the season.
Against Central Community College in Sanford Thursday night, Dent fired in 22 points and pulled down a career high 17 rebounds as the Flyers claimed a 113-89 Region X victory. Dent also dished out 3 assists in the win.
Saturday the Flyers walloped Community Christian College of Lancaster, SC 112-48. Dent only played 16 minutes due to the score but still pulled down 13 rebounds and scored 12 points while dishing out 3 assists and making 3 steals.
Dent is averaging 20 points, 8 rebounds and 3 assists per game while playing 23.5 minutes per game for the Flyers who are ranked No. 1 in the latest NJCAA poll.
The Flyers return to action Saturday at 3 p.m. at Dabney S. Lancaster Community College in Clifton Forge, VA.
