West Bladen grad Sayaun Dent racked up a pair of double-doubles this week as his nationally ranked Sandhills Community College Flyers won 2 of 3 games.
Monday night in Raleigh Dent fired in 16 points and grabbed 10 rebounds as the Flyers rolled past Wake Tech Community College 109-85.
Dent led the Flyers with 21 points and 12 rebounds Wednesday night as Sandhills raced to a 100-83 victory over Lenoir Community College in Kinston.
Saturday the Flyers who are ranked No.2 in the NJCAA Division III poll lost 95-72 to Caldwell Tech. Dent pumped in 16 points, pulled down 6 rebounds and dished out 3 assists against the Cobras who are ranked No. 13 in the NJCAA Division I poll.
Dent leads the Flyers in scoring (18.3) and rebounding (8.4).
Sandhills, now 16-2, will play the Francis Marion jayvees Thursday night in Florence, SC. Both Flyer losses have been to Division I opponents.
