PINEHURST – West Bladen grad Sayaun Dent just missed a double-double with 19 points and 9 rebounds Thursday night in a 106-94 victory for Sandhills Community College over Blue Lights Junior College.
Dent connected on 8 of 11 shots from the field to lead the scoring for the Flyers, who improved to 16-7 with the victory.
On Monday, Dent posted a double-double of 13 points and 13 rebounds, but his Flyers dropped an 87-82 decision to the Francis Marion junior varsity.
The Elizabethtown native is shooting 51 percent from the field in 22 games for the Flyers and is averaging 9.5 points, 5 rebounds and 2 assists per game.
The Flyers will travel to play the Guilford College junior varsity Monday at 7 p.m.
