FLORENCE, SC -West Bladen grad Sayaun Dent fired in 26 points, grabbed 8 rebounds and dished out 4 assists to lead his Sandhills Community College Flyers to a 110-93 victory over the Francis Marion junior varsity Thursday night.
Dent connected on 13 of 16 shots from the field for the Flyers who are ranked No. 4 in the latest NJCAA Division III poll.
Saturday the Flyers rolled to a 106-54 Region X victory over Johnston Community College. Dent snared 8 rebounds and tallied 7 points as the Flyers improved to 2-0 in Region X play and 18-2 overall.
Dent currently leads the Flyers in scoring (18.1) and rebounding (8.3). Sandhills will host Central Carolina Community College Wednesday at 6 p.m. in another Region X game.
