The Bladen County Senior Center is bridging the gap between our younger generation and our senior generation. The Center is hosting artwork from one of Bladen County’s very own, Max DiLello.

Max DiLello, a 15-year old freshman who attends Harrells Christian Academy, is currently working on a Life Scout Project for The Boy Scouts.  Max is the son of Michael and Trish DiLello.  He is a member of Troop 600, of which Mr. Mark Gillespie is the troop leader.  Max’s project will allow him to receive Life Scout Rank which is necessary in order to obtain the Eagle Scout Rank.   The next step to receiving the Life Scout Rank is to be tested before the Elder of the Scouts.  Max will be tested on matters of health, life savings, knots, scout mottos, knowledge of the government, as well as the origination of The Boy Scouts.

Max has chosen to display his beautiful and insightful artwork at the Bladen County Senior Center for the senior’s enjoyment.  Barbara McLaurin, the current Senior Center Director would like to say, “job well done Max!”  The public is welcome to stop by The Bladen County Senior Center located at 608 McLeod St. Elizabethtown anytime to view Max’s artwork.  Our hours are Monday through Friday, 8:30 am to 5:00 pm.
