On March 21, 2018 the Elizabethtown Police Department along with the Bladen County Sherriff’s Office executed a search warrant at 109 S. Newton St. in Elizabethtown. Christian Cotton 25, Jonah Cotton 23, Deidra Cotton 53, and Michelle Craig 47 were arrested after and undisclosed amount of Marijuana, drug paraphernalia and cash was located inside the residence. The investigation was conducted over a three month period after receiving numerous complaints of suspected drug activity being conducted at the residence.
The suspects arrested were charged with drug related violations to include Maintaining a Dwelling Place to Sell/Deliver Marijuana, Conspiracy to Sell/Deliver Marijuana, Sell/Deliver Marijuana and Possession With the Intent to Sell/Deliver Marijuana. An arrest warrant was also obtained for Mark David Challis 25, for Conspiracy to Sell/Delivery Marijuana as a result of the investigation.
