On Tuesday, May 29th, US Senator Thom Tillis visited the Elizabethtown Senior Center. Senator Tillis spent time talking with the seniors about issues concerning the rapidly growing senior population and needs of those who “fall between the cracks”. Topics ranged from nutritional needs, needs for in-home healthcare, transportation needs, and the high cost of prescription medications.
Senator Tillis listened attentively and assured the seniors that these are issues he plans to work toward solutions for when he returns to Washington, D.C.
After their discussion, Senator Tillis was presented with the “2018 Champion of Health Care Innovations” Award in honor of his work on Capitol Hill.
