Weather Warning for Southeast North Carolina & Northeast South Carolina
Issued: March 4, 2025 – 10:15 AM
A strong cold front will bring severe weather to the region on Wednesday, with the following threats:
- Damaging wind gusts of 60+ mph, with localized gusts exceeding 74 mph.
- Possible tornadoes in some areas.
- Chance of large hail (greater than 1-inch diameter).
- Widespread strong winds outside thunderstorms, with gusts of 35-45 mph, and isolated gusts above 46 mph.
Timing:
- Severe storms expected from Wednesday morning through the afternoon.
- Specific regions: Florence (9 AM – 2 PM), Wilmington (Noon – 4 PM).
