Bladen We CareSheriff Jim McVicker recently purchased a ticket from Mac Campbell, Jr., Chairman of Bladen We Care, for the Annual Gala, one of two events to assist in fundraising for the volunteer group.  The other is a golf tournament.  Both are scheduled for April.
Tickets are on sale for $100 per couple or a reserved table that accommodates 8 people is available for just $500.  The Gala includes fun, food, a reverse raffle, an auction and music featuring Black Water Rhythm & Blues Band.
The Gala will be held at The Venue at White Lake on Friday, April 17, 2015 from 7:00 till 11:00 p.m.  Bladen We Care Board members have tickets or you may purchase them at Fishers, Campbell Oil, Minuteman Food Marts, The Venue at White Lake and the Ashley Marie Group, to mention a few.
The Golf Tournament will be held Thursday, April 23rd at Vineyard Golf at White Lake.  For more information on either event, call 910-874-4001, 910-874-2008 or 910-862-8423, Ext. 271.
Bladen We Care is celebrating 26 years of assisting Bladen County residents in need due to health issues.  Bladen We Care provides one time assistance in the form of grants in addition to working with other organizations including Bladen Baptist and Bladen Crisis Center.
The Gala, the Golf Tournament and Memorials are the major sources of income for Bladen We Care.  Every dime contributed goes to assist someone in need.  Bladen We Care has no paid employees, so every penny contributed goes to help someone in Bladen County.
