A woman from Spring Lake was charged last month when drugs were found in her vehicle during a traffic stop, according to the Bladen County Sheriff’s Office.
Jessica Lynn McCall, 34, was charged with possession with intent to manufacture, sell and deliver Schedule VI controlled substance, felony possession of Schedule II controlled substance, felony possession of Schedule VI controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
McCall’s vehicle had been stopped by a NC Highway Patrol trooper for a speeding violation, according to the Sheriff’s Office. The location of the stop was not given in a news release.
During the stop, the trooper noted the smell of marijuana coming from the vehicle. The trooper requested assistance from the Sheriff’s Office Community Impact Team. A search of the vehicle found 50 grams of marijuana, digital scales, cocaine and other drug paraphernalia, according to the Sheriff’s Office.
McCall received a $10,000 secure bond, according to the news release.
