The Lumberton Police Department and the FBI are asking the public to be on the lookout for a pair of shoes that belong to 13-year-old Hania Noelia Aguilar. Hania’s family recently purchased a new and very distinctive pair of sneakers for the missing teen from Lumberton according to the Lumberton Police Department.

Aguilar had gone outside into the yard to wait for someone to drive her to school at the Rosewood Mobile Home Park on Elizabethtown Road in Lumberton at 7 a.m. on Monday, November 5, according to the FBI.  A male described as wearing dark colored clothing and a yellow bandana is reported to have forced Aguilar into a green Ford Expedition with South Carolina tags.

According to the FBI, the SUV was discovered on Quincey Road in Lumberton on Thursday morning. According to reports, a search was conducted near the Rosewood Mobile Home Park and Quincey Drive on Sunday.

Aguilar is described as wearing a blue shirt with flowers and blue jeans. She stands approximately 5 feet tall, and weighs approximately 126 pounds. Aguilar has black hair and brown eyes.

The abductor is described as an unknown male with a yellow bandana around his face, according to the Amber Alert.

The shoes officals are asking people to be on the look out for are Adidas brand, white sneakers with black stripes, and colorful stitching on the back heel of the shoe.

“Think through what you’ve seen since November 5th, have you seen a discarded pair of shoes, did someone try to sell you shoes, did they show up in a donation bin? We want to make sure we draw attention to the shoes because they are distinctive and the kidnapper could try and get rid of them for that reason,” said FBI Supervisory Senior Resident Agent Andy De la Rocha.

Investigators have run down dozens of leads over the last few weeks related to the shoes, now is the appropriate time to ask for additional help from the community as a precautionary measure to make sure we’ve exhausted all options with the shoes.
