A vehicle in a parking lot near a club in Elizabethtown was shot multiple times on Sunday morning, according to the Elizabethtown Police Department. The report of gunshots in the area of Thee Factory on Martin Luther King Drive was made at 2:15 a.m.

Lt. D. Cheshire said, “Our officers in the area heard multiple gunshots at Thee Factory.”

He said when officers arrived on the scene at Thee Factory, there were over 300 panicked patrons who were running away and entering into a makeshift parking areas across Martin Luther King Drive.

“Upon further investigation, Elizabethtown Officers located a vehicle which had been shot multiple times,” said Lt. Cheshire.

Officers also found numerous shell casings and narcotics in the immediate area of the damaged vehicle and Thee Factory as they examined the crime scene, according to Lt. Cheshire.

“Investigators for the Elizabethtown Police Department are currently following up on leads and names of possible suspects,” said Lt. Cheshire.
