The Bladen County Shrine Club’s annual fish fry will be conducted today (Wednesday, October 11) from 11 a.m. until 7 p.m. There will be two locations –one at the Fresh Foods IGA store in Bladenboro and the Food Lion parking lot in Elizabethtown. Plates cost $8 each.
Shriners Phillip Little and Mike Shaw said a huge “thank you” to their sponsors Smithfield Foods, Walane Gas and Bobby Taylor Oil. The proceeds from the plate sale go to support the Shriners Hospitals for Children. The closest Shriners Hospital to Bladen County is located in Greenville, S.C. It does not cost a child’s family anything to be treated. Three children in Bladen County have received assistance through the Shriner’s Hospitals.
