A Silver Alert for a missing Kelly woman has been cancelled. She has been located and is safe.
The Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office Man Tracking Team and bloodhounds assisted the Bladen County Sheriff’s Office in locating Brown in a wooded area on Thursday. Brown has been returned to her home.
The Bladen County Sheriff’s Office had issued a Silver Alert for Ada Lee Brown, 81, early on Thursday morning.
Citizens were asked to be on the lookout for Brown, who is believed to be suffering from dementia or some other cognitive impairment. She was last seen at 1618 East NC Highway 11 in Kelly.
