Spread the love

Since October of 2020, A Touch of Country Venue has hosted weddings, receptions, birthday parties, corporate events and parties, anniversary parties, baby showers, and pretty much any type of celebration you can think of. With a goal to provide comfortable outdoor events, this small business is owned by Patty Mote Johnson and Randy Johnson.

Hosting an event of any kind can be stressful, and finding the perfect venue isn’t always easy. These local venue owners understand, and they strive to offer a venue that covers all of the bases.

The owners also strive to be flexible and accommodating for those who choose to have their special events at the venue. The owners stated, “We offer use of our spacious kitchen, a private bar area with booths, climate controlled, large outdoor patio featuring rustic but beautiful rocking chairs, two outdoor ceremony location options, a rustic swing in our memorial garden, a pond with two water fountains,. We do not require certain vendors at this time to allow flexibility for our clients.”

Since opening, the venue has added new amenities to please their clients and impress their guests. These new amenities include a pond with gazebo and bridge, a gazebo off of the kitchen, and wooden doors at both ceremony locations. The owners added, “A Touch of Country Venue now offers different packages, while before we only offered the venue itself.”

About the owners:

Patty Mote Johnson and Randy Johnson are farmers of blueberries, grapes, corn, and soybeans. They also have a liquidation store: Simple Treasures. Patty and Randy have three children ranging in age from 27 to 16. They work tirelessly to ensure that all three businesses are successful and growing.

How it started:

Our family has been to a couple of barn/farm weddings. In attending those, we saw how hectic and hot it can be without climate control. For example, our cousin had his at a barn venue. There was no inside air, just the open barn, and it ended up raining. This was a big disappointment to him and his fiance because everyone had to cram under the shelter and the bridal party was no exception. We just want everyone to be able to have a barn wedding and still be comfortable, or have the option to bring the ceremony inside. We designed the inside of our venue so that the client has the option to decorate as much as they want or as little and the place will still be beautiful for the event.

To book the venue, call 910-929-0223 or email atouchofcountryvenue2020@yahoo.com. Those interested in a tour can also go to the website at atouchofcountryvenue.com and schedule a tour through the calendar link.  The owners added, “We can also be found on Facebook, Instagram, WeddingWire, and The Knot. Potential clients or anyone interested can find our reviews on google and WeddingWire. We offer a range of packages that can be tailored to specific clients.”

“Everybody deserves to have nice events at a reasonable price.”- Patty Johnson
