Spread the love

“When you support a small business, you are supporting a dream.” -Unknown.

With over 30 years of cooking experience, Cindy Rhodie serves delicious southern food at her restaurant in Elizabethtown – Cindy’s Restaurant, Drive-Thru, and Catering. The restaurant offers daily specials each and every week, with options of the drive-thru, takeout, dine-in, and event catering.

Cindy Rhodie, the owner of Cindy’s Restaurant, worked at Front Porch as a cook for over 23 years, and now serves as the owner and main cook at her own restaurant, which has been in business for eight years now.

According to Cindy, an Elizabethtown-native and lifelong resident, the idea of opening a restaurant of her own came to her in the form of a dream, from her mother. After having the same dream three times, she decided to go for it. She opened the restaurant in a trailer, offering only carry-out. The restaurant has certainly grown since then.

“I’m doing what I love,” Cindy said. She added, “I’m a therapist, a counselor, and a cook,” with a laugh.

When you visit Cindy’s, you can expect hot, fresh food and friendly service. The daily menu may include a variety of southern favorites – from fried chicken to meatloaf, to macaroni and cheese, collard greens, and so much more. With 247 google reviews, averaging 4.8 out of 5 stars, Cindy’s Restaurant staff certainly makes their customers happy.

The restaurant is located at 1667 South Poplar Street in Elizabethtown. You can dine at Cindy’s Monday through Friday from 11 am until 5 pm, and on Sundays from 11 am until 4 pm. The restaurant is closed on Saturdays.

Cindy’s Restaurant can be contacted by calling (910) 862-6260.

Lastly, Cindy says, “I plan to keep serving my community for a long time.”
