Update: Grand Opening moved to Friday, October 7th for the Twisted Terror Extreme Haunted Trail.
Jeffrey Ruffin and Heidi Cartrette share a love for haunted attractions and all things “scary.” This Fall, the pair is excited to introduce Twisted Terror Extreme Haunted Trail to thrill-seekers and Halloween-lovers from near and far, and they guarantee an experience like no other!
Ruffin and Cartrette shared, “We’ve often traveled as far as three to four hours to visit different haunted trails and houses. Jeffrey did a haunted house over 20 years ago for charity, which included hurricane relief, cancer patients, as well as local fire and police departments. People were always asking when he was going to have another one, so last winter we decided we were going to go all in on a haunted trail, and began clearing out a trail behind our house. We have worked nonstop since!”
Twisted Terror Extreme Haunted Trail is located on Highway 701 between White Lake and Garland. It is a 1700-foot-long walking trail (approximately 0.6 miles). It has 24 different scenes jam-packed with twists, turns, and excitement. It will take around 35 minutes to walk through.
The creators of the trail explained, “Our trail is different from any other haunted trail you will go through. The thought process put into each of our scenes is nothing like you will encounter anywhere else. We will give you a twist in each scene that will test you mentally and physically, and almost push you to your breaking point. We will play into some of your biggest fears and turn them into some of your worst nightmares!”
Cost of Entry:
There is no minimum age limit, however, a parent or guardian is required to enter with a child under the age of 10. The cost is $20 per ticket for general admission. Fastpass tickets are available for $40, and VIP tickets for $55. Purchase of a VIP ticket will also include your choice of a hotdog or BBQ sandwich, with a bag of chips, and a drink.
“We have worked extremely hard to get this trail ready to open and operate. We’ve worked endless hours in the heat and elements of the summer to bring something new and exciting to our community. It’s really something that everybody, regardless of age, can enjoy! As mentioned above, we will be serving BBQ sandwiches each night and will also be selling by the pound. For our opening night we will have a live band on stage playing awesome music, so grab your group of friends and head on over! Our goal for this first year is to get 6,000 people to come out over the course of our entire season.” – Jeffrey Ruffin and Heidi Cartrette, owners.
Job opportunities are available! The owners of Twisted Terror Extreme Haunted Trail are looking for scare actors that will put 100% into their duty as scarers. Actors will be paid nightly. On Saturday, September 10th, auditions and signups will be held.
