CERRO GORDO – East Bladen pounded out 22 hits and sophomore Laura Davisson pitched a 2-hitter and struck out 6 batters as the Lady Eagles rolled to a 26-2 Three Rivers Conference victory over West Columbus Tuesday night in the 2nd game of a softball doubleheader.

Senior Kayleigh Raynor batted a perfect 5-for-5 with a triple, a double, 4 runs scored and 3 runs batted in. Sophomore Karli Priest finished 5-for-6 at the plate with 4 runs scored and 3 RBIs. Sophomore Laura Davisson slammed 2 doubles, batted 4-for-5, scored 3 runs and had 3 RBIs.

Senior Jordan Kinlaw turned in a 2-for-3 game at the plate with a walk, 2 runs scored and 2 RBIs. Sophomore Emma Turbeville batted 2-for-5 with 2 runs scored and 2 RBIs. Sophomore AnnaGrey Heustess was also 2-for-5 with 2 runs scored and 2 RBIs.

Junior Mariah Smith and sophomore Maegan Burney added one hit each and drove in 3 runs each. Senior Alyssa Futrell scored 3 runs, was hit by pitches twice and had an RBI. Burney and senior Shelby Smith scored 2 runs each. Mariah Smith and freshman Dyiamon Robinson scored one run each, and Robinson drew a walk.

Raynor walloped a triple to left to start the game, and Turbeville reached on an error as Raynor scored. Priest smacked a single to center, and Turbeville and Priest raced home as Mariah Smith reached on an error. Futrell was hit by a pitch and Heustess reached on an error as Mariah Smith scored.

Burney, Kinlaw, Raynor, Davisson and Turbeville drew walks as Futrell, Heustess, Burney and Kinlaw scored. Priest drove in Raynor with a single, and Mariah Smith knocked in Davisson and Turbeville with a single. Priest later scored the 12th run of the inning.

Priest smashed a single to left-center field to ignite an 11-run, 3rd inning. Shelby Smith walked, and Futrell was hit by a pitch. Heustess poked a single to right that scored Priest. Burney and Kinlaw connected for singles that plated Shelby Smith and Futrell.

Raynor yanked a double to left that scored Heustess and Burney. Davisson drilled a double that drove in Kinlaw and Raynor. Priest swatted a single to left-center that scored Davisson. Shelby Smith reached on an error, and Futrell was hit by a pitch. Heustess cracked a single that scored Priest, and Shelby Smith and Futrell dashed home as Burney reached on an error to grow the lead to 23-0.

Raynor lashed a single to left-center, and Davisson smoked a double to right-center field. Turbeville rapped a single that scored Raynor, and Priest delivered a single that plated Davisson.

Robinson drew a 2-out walk in the 5th inning. Raynor, Davisson and Turbeville followed with back-to-back-to back singles that scored Robinson.

Senior Brittany Barnhill singled and scored a run for West Columbus, and junior teammate Honesti McKenzie doubled home a run.

Coach Chris Davisson’s Lady Eagles improved to 3-1 in TRC play and 4-5 overall. East Bladen will travel to Fairmont Thursday night.
