ELIZABETHTOWN – South Columbus defeated East Bladen 11-1 Friday night in Three Rivers Conference softball action.

The Stallions scored 3 runs in the first inning, 2 runs in both the fourth and fifth innings and closed the game out with a 3-run seventh.

Junior Erica McKoy walloped a triple to centerfield leading off the East Bladen fourth inning and raced home with the Lady Eagle run on sophmore Johanna Parker’s single.

McKoy batted 2-3 with a triple to lead the Lady Eagles at the plate. Parker, junior Anna Kate White and freshman Kayleigh Raynor connected for one hit each.

Senior Kaley Smith pitched the first six innings for East Bladen, and Raynor came on in relief to pitch the seventh.

East Bladen will travel to Red Springs Tuesday night.
