TABOR CITY – South Columbus exploded for ten runs in the second inning en route to a 12-2 victory over West Bladen Tuesday night in Three Rivers Conference softball action.

Ten hits and two errors produced the Lady Stallion runs in the second inning. South Columbus added single runs in the third and sixth innings.

West Bladen scored both of their runs in the third inning. Sophmore Jordan Benson beat out an infield hit, and senior Abby Dawson belted a single to centerfield. Kyla Reed forced Benson at third base.

Sophmore Alara Cashwell ripped a double down the leftfield line that scored Dawson, and junior Carley Dawson’s sacrifice fly plated Reed.

Cashwell’s rbi double led the West Bladen hitters. Abby Dawson, Carley Dawson, senior Madison Collins, freshman Alyssa Suggs and Benson connected for one hit each for the Lady Knights. Reed and Abby Dawson scored runs, and Carley Dawson drove in a run.

Junior Alexis Suggs batted 2-4 with a triple to lead the Lady Stallion hitters. Junior Anna Suggs finished 2-4 at the plate with a double. Junior Tressie McQueen batted 2-4 with a double, and junior Libby Blosser was 2-3.

West Bladen, now 9-8 in league play and 10-12 overall, will travel to East Bladen Friday night.
