TEACHEY – Junior Sara Darling slugged a 2-run home run and batted 4-4 to lead Wallace-Rose Hill to a 12-2 Four County Conference softball victory over East Bladen Thursday night.

Darling doubled and scored in the first inning then blasted the 2-run homer to highlight a 4-run Lady Bulldog second. Freshman Haven Williams clobbered a 3-run homer during a 6-run Wallace third-inning.

Williams and teammate Amber Dixon both batted 2-3 for the Lady Bulldogs, and sophmore Ellen Casteen slammed 2 doubles and finished 2-4 at the plate.

The Lady Eagles scored both of their runs in the fourth inning. Junior Emily Scott led off the inning with a single but was forced at second on sophmore Faith Johnson’s fielder’s choice.

Sophmore Shardajah Brown reached base on an error, and senior Lauren Merritt’s fielder’s choice plated Johnson with the first East run. Freshman Anna Kate White belted a single to drive in Brown.

Scott, White and freshman Ja’Tyra Moore-Peterson connected for one hit each for East Bladen. White and Merritt collected rbi’s and Johnson and Brown scored runs.

Senior Miller Heustess struck out 2 in her 5 innings in the circle for East Bladen.

East Bladen, now 3-9 in league play and 4-10 overall, will host Union Monday at 4:30.
