ROCKY POINT – West Bladen’s Lady Knights pounded Heide Trask 15-2 Friday night in Four County Conference softball action.

Senior Alanna Ludlum walloped a 2-out triple in the West first inning but was stranded at third base. However the Lady Knights broke through with 3 runs in the second.

Sophmore Carley Dawson drew a walk, and senior Sophia Singletary belted a single. Sophmore Conner Brisson launched a sacrifice fly that scored Dawson.

Seniors Kathryn Schultz and Jenna Dove reached base on errors as freshman Kyla Reed, the courtesy runner for Singletary, scored. Senior Kassidy Anderson plated Schultz with a sacrifice fly.

The Lady Knights upped the count to 6-0 with a trio of 2-out runs in the third. Dawson drew a walk and raced home when Singletary clubbed a double. Brisson walked, Schultz was hit by a pitch, and Dove knocked in Reed and Brisson with a single.

Ludlum reached base on an error to start a 9-run fourth-inning explosion. Pait slammed a double to drive her in. Dawson reached base on an error that scored Pait, and Singletary smacked a single.

Brisson and Schultz kept the hit parade going with singles that scored Dawson and Reed. Dove cracked a single that plated Brisson, and Anderson reached on a fielder’s choice.

Logan Autry connected for a single that plated Dove, and Pait hammered a double that scored Anderson and Autry. Dawson smashed a double that brought home Pait and extended the lead to 15-0.

Singletary pitched the first 3 scoreless innings to pick up the victory, striking out 2 and giving up a walk and a hit. Madison Collins worked the final 2 innings in the circle, struck out 2 and allowed 2 unearned runs on 2 hits and 3 walks.

Singletary batted a perfect 3-3 with a double and a run batted in. Pait finished 2-4 with 2 doubles, 2 runs scored and 3 rbi’s. Dove was 2-3 with a run scored and an rbi. Ludlum tripled and scored a run. Dawson doubled home a run and scored 3 runs.

Schultz, Brisson, Autry and Reed added a single each. Reed scored 3 runs, Brisson scored 2 runs, and Autry and Schultz scored one run each.

Coach Joey Autry’s Knights are a perfect 2-0 in Four County play and 5-1 overall. West Bladen will host West Columbus Saturday at 2 p.m.
