BLADENBORO – West Bladen racked up 16 hits and capitalized on 8 walks and 5 errors to roll to a 21-2 Southeastern Athletic Conference softball victory over St. Pauls Friday in the completion of a suspended game. West Bladen also posted a 28-0 victory in the 2nd game Friday night.

The game had been suspended by rain at St. Pauls Tuesday night with West Bladen leading 10-2 in the 3rd inning. When play resumed Friday, the Lady Knights exploded for 11 runs in the 4th inning.

Junior Rylee Chadwick pitched a 1-hitter, striking out 8, walking 3 and hitting two. Both of the Lady Bulldog runs were unearned. Lead-off batter Hailey Ray connected for the only St. Pauls hit in the 1st inning.

At the plate Chadwick batted a perfect 3-for-3, slammed a 2-run double in the 4th inning, drove in 4 runs and scored three. Junior Kylie Durden cracked 2-run singles in both the 3rd and 4th innings, finished 3-for-4 at the plate, scored 3 runs and totaled 5 runs batted in.

Junior catcher Mackenzie Singletary hammered a 2-run double in the 1st inning, batted 3-for-4 and had 3 RBIs. Senior Jessalynn Vendrick finished 2-for-3 at the plate with 2 runs scored and an RBI. Junior Kaitlynn Brisson batted 2-for-5 with 2 runs scored and an RBI.

Sophomore Gracie Faircloth cleaned the bases with a 3-run double in the 4th inning and scored twice. Junior Madison Taylor and sophomore Lena Trinidad added 1 hit each. Trinidad scored 4 runs, sophomore Emmee Ward walked twice and scored twice. Sophomore Megan Pait scored twice. Taylor drove in 2 runs and scored one. Senior Olivia Allen scored a run.
