[slideshow_deploy id=’119947′] WHITEVILLE – Whiteville defeated East Bladen 15-0 Wednesday night in the Three Rivers Conference softball opener for both teams.

“They only had about 5 solid hits, and we made 9 errors,” said Lady Eagle Coach Chase Lancaster. “We really only have had one full day of practice because of the rain Monday, but I saw a lot of positives today.”

Freshman Kaleigh Raynor and senior Kaley Smith split the pitching duties for East Bladen. Raynor beat out an infield hit for the only Lady Eagle hit.

The Lady Eagles will host South Columbus Friday at 6 p.m.
