The Southeastern Fellowship Senior Golf Association will be playing their final tournament of the season on November 14 at Land O’ Lakes Golf Course near Whiteville. This organization has 128 members, 50 years of age and older, playing 37 tournaments during the period of March 7 to November 14. Different formats have been used this season to bring diversity to the schedule. The formats used are 4-man best ball, 4 man super ball, 2 man Stableford and 4 man Texas Scramble.
The cost to be a member of this group in $15 a year with the average cost of entering the tournaments around $20. The group plays courses as far south as Country Club of South Carolina and as far east as the Maples Course at Sea Trail and as far west as Keith Hills at Campbell University.
Most of the 128 golfers in the organization come from Bladen and Columbus counties with the remainder coming from other southeastern counties. Any senior golfer who would like to join may call Linwood Hedgepeth at 910-734-7161 or Rob Conway at 910-640-9249.
