Sophmore Robin Coleman slugged a home run and pitched a one-hit shutout to lead Southeastern Community College to an 8-0 victory in the second game of a Region 10 softball double-header Friday over visiting Patrick Henry Community College. The Lady Rams also won the first game 3-1.
Coleman struck out 7, walked one and only faced 2 batters over the minimum. Shortstop Abbey Walters singled, stole 2 bases and scored a run for the winners.
Walters slammed 2 doubles, drove in a run and scored a run in the first game. Coleman batted a perfect 3-3 in the first game and stole 3 bases.
Coleman, Walters and Lady Ram catcher Kaitlyn Sykes are Bladenboro natives and West Bladen graduates.
