The Bladen County Board of Education voted against allowing student-athletes to participate in basketball sports in a split decision at their Monday evening meeting. Parents and students have voiced their disdain with the Board’s decision and started a petition to reverse the motion.

On Friday morning, the Bladen County Board of Education announced a special called session scheduled for Monday, December 21, 2020, at 4:00 p.m. The meeting will be conducted virtually.
According to the announcement, the special called meeting aims to decide about the current school year basketball season as per NCGS 115C.47.
